Therapy for busy perfectionists to build more spacious and less stressful lives.

my specialties

  • Self-Compassion

You are everyone else’s cheerleader but your own. You show up for everyone else in your life, no matter how inconvenient or stress-inducing it may be for you, and yet you don’t feel a sense of satisfaction in doing so. Your self-talk is not kind or loving, but you are the first one to support a friend or family member who is down on themselves. You want more compassion and softness in your life, but you aren’t sure how to ask for it or how to give it to yourself.

Through our work together, we can build practices, rituals, and skills that will allow you to change your relationship with your inner critic, set healthy boundaries with others, and finally step into the life that you imagine for yourself.

  • Burnout & Imposter Syndrome

You’re a hard worker, but you have a feeling that life and work isn’t supposed to be this hard. Maybe you started a business or entered your field with passion and energy, only to find it zapped out of you by the constant pressure of doing everything perfectly. Even though it looks like you’re continuing to climb upward to your colleagues, you are terrified that one wrong move will make it all disappear.

Let’s help you shape your daily life into something that you don’t have to work so hard to keep up with. You deserve spaciousness, nourishment, and creativity, and we can find ways to incorporate those values together.

  • Grief

You’ve experienced a loss — whether of a loved one, a relationship, a job, or another significant transition - and you’re wondering if everything you’re feeling is “normal.” As hard as the people around you may try, they don’t seem to really understand what you are going through, which only adds to the feelings of confusion, isolation, and uncertainty that you’re experiencing.

Whatever you are feeling and whatever questions you are asking yourself are perfectly acceptable and okay. As your therapist, my job is to provide you space to work through your experiences, offer new ways of looking at things and skills to cope with them, and, ultimately, to help you uncover what it means to move forward in a meaningful way after loss.

I have additional training in pregnancy and infant loss, including miscarriages and infertility, and working with parents of grieving children.

  • Trauma

You’ve been dealing with nightmares, flashbacks, panic, anxiety, and negative thoughts about yourself for as long as you can remember. Maybe you can pinpoint the exact moment you began feeling this way, or maybe you feel like you’ve had these symptoms and stressors since you were a child. You’ve heard that it’s possible to unlearn old ways of thinking, but find it hard to imagine a life that doesn’t involve being on high alert for the next thing to go wrong.

I use EMDR and other body-based modalities to relieve you of these symptoms and to help you grow into a more positive direction. We can walk through the process together through weekly sessions or through retreat-like intensives.
