emdr basic training
for mental health professionals
As therapists, we are invited into some of the most painful and sacred moments in people's lives. We witness trauma, grief, loss, and resilience every day. While this work is deeply meaningful, it can also leave us searching for approaches that help clients move beyond insight and toward lasting healing.
EMDR therapy offers a framework that honors the nervous system's innate capacity to heal while helping clients process experiences that have become overwhelming, disconnected, or "stuck."
These trainings are designed for social workers, counselors, and trauma therapists who want to learn EMDR in a way that is both clinically sound and deeply human. More than simply teaching a protocol, my aim is to cultivate thoughtful, attuned clinicians who can integrate EMDR with their own therapeutic style and values.
WHY EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps clients process difficult experiences and reconnect with their strengths, values, and sense of self.
Although EMDR is widely known for treating trauma and PTSD, clinicians are increasingly using it to support clients experiencing:
Complex trauma and attachment wounds
Grief and bereavement
Anxiety and panic
Depression
Perinatal and reproductive trauma
Medical trauma and chronic illness
Burnout and compassion fatigue
Shame, perfectionism, and negative self-beliefs
Distressing life transitions
EMDR allows us to move beyond symptom management and support deeper transformation, helping clients experience greater flexibility, self-compassion, and connection.

what makes this training special
❋ Intentional Structure
This is not an enormous, anonymous training. This training is designed to feel more like a retreat and less like a basic class. Cohort sizes are small and the flow of each day is designed with nervous system regulation in mind.
❋ Collaborative Energy
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself. Practicing EMDR therapy throughout the training gives you hands-on, practical tools after just Part I.
❋ Expert Facilitation
Led by an experienced EMDR therapist and consultant whose goal it is to help you feel confident and competent leaving each day.
❋ Supportive Space
This training prioritizes comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
